What to do before you come in, and what to do after you leave. Follow this and your results will be noticeably better.
Waxing results are about more than what happens in the room. How you prep and how you care for your skin afterward determines how smooth you stay and how comfortable the process is.
Step One
What you do in the 48 hours before your appointment matters. These steps make the wax more effective and your skin less reactive.
Exfoliate 24–48 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin and help hair lift easily.
Avoid lotions, oils, and heavy creams on the day of your wax — clean, dry skin gives the best results.
Let your hair grow to about 1/4 inch (around the length of a grain of rice) for the wax to grip properly.
Skip shaving or trimming between appointments to maintain your wax cycle.
Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid irritation post-wax.
(Optional) Take a mild pain reliever 30 minutes before your session if you're sensitive.
Stay hydrated and relax — tension makes the skin more reactive in the area.
No hot showers for at least 24 hours after your wax appointment.
No sexual activity for at least 24 hours — freshly waxed skin is sensitive.
No tight clothing — give your skin room to breathe.
Hydrate your skin with a lightweight body oil or fragrance-free moisturizer.
Drink water and mind your business.
Pre-book your next wax appointment before you leave — consistency is everything.
Exfoliate 48 hours after your wax, then 2–3 times per week to prevent ingrown hairs.
Step Two
The 24–48 hours after your wax are critical. What you do (and don't do) right after determines how smooth and irritation-free your skin stays.
