General Waxing

How long does hair need to be before I can get waxed?

Hair should be at least ¼ inch long — roughly the length of a grain of rice, or about 2–3 weeks of growth after shaving. If hair is too short, the wax will not grip it properly. If you are unsure, it is always better to wait a few extra days. We will let you know at your appointment if you need more time.

How long does a waxing appointment take?

Most waxing services at Zoetic Beauty Studio take between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the service. A Brazilian wax typically takes 30–45 minutes for new clients and 20–30 minutes for returning clients. A full-body bundle such as the Eminence or Opulent Wax can take up to 90 minutes. We always take our time and never rush your skin.

Does waxing hurt?

Waxing can be uncomfortable, especially the first time. We use premium hard wax that grips the hair rather than the skin, which makes a real difference. With consistent appointments every 4–6 weeks, the hair grows back finer and the process gets easier each time.

How often should I get waxed?

Every 4–6 weeks is the sweet spot. Consistent waxing can weaken the follicle over time, which means finer regrowth and less discomfort. Shaving or skipping appointments resets that progress, which is why clients who stay on a schedule often have a better experience.

Can I shave between waxing appointments?

Please do not shave between appointments. Shaving blunts the hair, makes it harder for wax to grip, and increases the chance of breakage instead of clean removal. It also resets the hair-growth cycle. If you need to manage regrowth, trim rather than shave.

What should I do before my waxing appointment?

Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin and help the wax grip the hair more effectively. Avoid heavy lotions or oils on the day of your appointment. Make sure your hair is at least ¼ inch long. If you are sensitive to pain, you may take an over-the-counter pain reliever 30 minutes before your appointment. Numbing cream is also available as an add-on service.

What should I do after my waxing appointment?

For the first 24–48 hours after waxing, avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, direct sun exposure, and tight clothing. Your pores are open and your skin is more sensitive during this time. Avoid heavy perfumed products on the waxed area. After 48 hours, begin gentle exfoliation 2–3 times per week to help prevent ingrown hairs, and keep skin moisturized between appointments.

Can I get waxed while pregnant?

Waxing is generally safe during pregnancy. Skin can be more sensitive because of hormonal changes, so the experience may feel more intense than usual. Consult your OB-GYN if you have concerns, and let your esthetician know you are pregnant so positioning and care can be adjusted for your comfort.

Brazilian & Bikini Waxing

What is the difference between a Brazilian wax and a bikini wax?

A bikini wax removes hair from outside the bikini line — the sides and top — so nothing shows outside a swimsuit. A Brazilian wax removes all or nearly all hair from the pubic area, including the front, back, and everything in between. At Zoetic Beauty Studio, our Brazilian wax is a full clean, front to back, using premium hard wax for a smooth, comfortable result.

What is a Manzilian?

A Manzilian, also called a Brozilian, is the male equivalent of a Brazilian wax: full removal of hair from the pubic area, including the front, shaft, and between the cheeks. Zoetic Beauty Studio offers a comfortable, professional, judgment-free Manzilian service using premium hard wax and meticulous technique.

Is it normal to have redness or bumps after a Brazilian wax?

Yes. Mild redness and small bumps, sometimes called a follicular response, immediately after a Brazilian wax are normal and typically subside within a few hours to 24 hours. A soothing aloe vera gel or gentle post-wax oil can help calm the skin. If bumps persist beyond 48 hours or become painful, contact us; this may indicate ingrown hairs that can be addressed with a Vajacial service.

Do you offer a discount for first-time Brazilian wax clients?

Yes. New clients can book the New Client Brazilian Wax at an introductory rate. Book online through GlossGenius to get started.

Vajacial Treatments

What is a vajacial?

A vajacial is a skincare treatment for the bikini area. It addresses ingrown hairs, dark spots, rough texture, and irritation that can show up after waxing. At Zoetic, the treatment includes a double cleanse, enzyme mask, extractions, high frequency, LED light therapy, and a finishing moisturizer — a facial for a different area.

What is the difference between a Vajacial and a Vajacial Deluxe?

The Vajacial is a standalone treatment for the bikini area. The Vajacial Deluxe combines the full Vajacial with a Brazilian wax and underarm wax in one appointment. If you want everything handled in a single visit, the Deluxe is the one to book.

How often should I get a vajacial?

We recommend a vajacial every 4–6 weeks, ideally timed with your regular waxing appointment. Consistent treatments can help maintain smooth, even-toned skin in the bikini area, prevent ingrown hairs, and gradually improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation. Many members include a vajacial in their monthly membership for this reason.

Can I get a vajacial if I have not waxed recently?

Yes. A vajacial can be performed independently of a waxing appointment. For the best results, we recommend getting a Brazilian wax first so the treatment can reach the skin more effectively without hair in the way. The Vajacial Deluxe includes the wax in the same appointment.

Does a vajacial help with ingrown hairs and dark spots?

Yes. The exfoliation and extraction steps help release trapped ingrown hairs and clear clogged follicles. With dark spots and hyperpigmentation, consistent treatments can gradually support a more even-looking skin tone. Results take time, and clients who come regularly often see the strongest improvement.
